McNaughton Architecture, Inc. | Our projects put the principles of ecological design into practice. Passive and active solar design strategies, energy and resource efficiency, and the utilization of earth friendly materials are core principles upon which our designs are founded. As a small firm we are able to guarantee personal attention to each project we undertake. As a matter of course, we utilize photo-realistic 3-d computer modeling to design, develop and present our projects. This incredible visualization tool allows us to optimize the potential of each project through extensive and valuable design development. The software gives us the added benefit of allowing our clients to visualize their project in its entirely before it is built, make changes, and contribute meaningfully to the design process. We have found this method of design and presentation to be extremely beneficial for our clients because it eliminates guesswork.

Shan McNaughton, AIA is a licensed architect in the state of California and Kansas. His portfolio ranges from adaptive re-use and historic preservation projects to professional offices, retail and custom residential architecture. McNaughton’s career is founded on rigorous university training coupled with a pragmatic, hands-on approach to design, engineering and construction. He completed his final year of university in Florence, Italy and has travelled extensively throughout Europe, South America, and Asia.
