PROJECT

This project displays a transformation of a 60’s style Ranch home to a Spanish Southwest style estate.

SolutionS

The original residence was a modest ranch style dwelling with low-pitched hip roof and stucco exterior.  The scope of work was a complete remodel and building style adaptation to Southwestern style.  This project is an architectural showcase in fine wood craftsmanship.

Custom timber trusses were built to support the new clay tile roof and accentuate the quality of the great room space.  Timber beams with notched connections were installed to define the remodeled kitchen.  Southwestern style custom wood cabinetry and wood paneled doors contribute to the interior design.   Two bedrooms were combined with an addition built to create a master bedroom suite.  The bedroom opens onto a private roof covered terrace, oriented to the golf course.   An outdoor kitchen was added with covered patio, built with timber post and beam construction and curved wood brackets.

The rear yard space was designed for entertaining. A regulation paddle tennis court was added, the pool was remodeled and a golf cart cabana was built in the same southwest style to complement the residence.  The result is a cohesive integration of interior and exterior spaces unified by a strong architectural style, fitting for the site and climate.
